DECATUR, Ill. — Women Changing the Face of Agriculture, a project of the Illinois Agri-Women, is offering four scholarships for females studying agriculture.
The $1,500 IAW Helen Henert Agriculture Education Scholarship is for an agriculture education major who is finishing the degree in the next year.
Three $1,000 WCFA Agent of Change Scholarships are offered to students who have attended at least one Women Changing the Face of Agriculture Conference, either at a past WCFA event or anyone completing and attaching a 2021 WCFA worksheet. One scholarship is for a high school senior, one is for a current college student and one is for a current graduate student.
“Being a part of WCFA as a student and volunteer has allowed me to make connections I value tremendously. Along with receiving a scholarship, I am grateful to be a part of this industry surrounded by successful women who continue to support each other in all endeavors,” said Callie McClay, a 2020 scholarship recipient.
“Illinois Agri-Women events and scholarships set women up for success not only financially, but by creating a community of women who empower one another within the agriculture industry,” added Kylie Miller, another previous scholarship winner.
The deadline for submission of the online application is March 31.

The Illinois Agri-Women organization supports the agriculture industry, works for legislation to support and preserve family farms, communicates with other agriculture organizations and strives to educate the public and promote agricultural awareness.
The annual conference to be hosted at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg has been moved to 2022. However, WCFA will be utilizing an online curriculum this year.
