OAK BROOK, Ill. — Farm Foundation, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, announced a suite of awards celebrating significant achievements in the agriculture and food sector.
The awards will be presented during the Farm Foundation 90th Anniversary Gala on June 15 in Chicago.
The four awards recognize leaders and change makers who exemplify Farm Foundation’s mission and values.
They include two lifetime achievement awards and two innovator awards:
• R.J. Hildreth Public Policy Award — In the mid-1990s, Farm Foundation began awarding the R.J. Hildreth Award for Career Achievement in Public Policy, an award open to those in the field of public policy, through government service, as educators, or those researching agricultural policy.
• The Farm Foundation Transformational Leadership Award — This lifetime achievement award honors an individual who has demonstrated innovative and transformational leadership in food and agriculture.
• The Farm Foundation Innovator of the Year Award — The focus of this award is to recognize those change makers that are an integral part to solving some of the most influential challenges we face today in the agriculture and food industries.
• The Farm Foundation Emerging Leader Award — This award recognizes an emerging young leader who is on the trajectory to make transformational change within the agriculture and food sectors.
“The food and agriculture sector is fortunate to have so many thoughtful, innovative and forwardthinking leaders,” said Dan Basse, vice chair of the Farm Foundation board of directors and president of AgResource.
“The occasion of our 90th anniversary seemed like the perfect time to launch a program to recognize and celebrate those who have contributed so much to our remarkable food system.”
The awards are open to any candidate involved in the agriculture and food industries. For nomination requirements and more information on each award, visit https://tinyurl.com/2b3tucwn.
