• Discuss decisions made at head saw, resaw, edger and trimmer that affect the lumber grade.

Burnout Syndrome

URBANA, Ill. — Learn about Burnout Syndrome in Healthcare Professionals from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 16.

Burnout has negative consequences for individuals, organizations, and society overall. Beyond its impact on the physical and mental health of workers, burnout strains organizations and increases turnover, tardiness, absenteeism, and difficulty in retaining staff. Nurses are particularly at risk of experiencing burnout. Already considered a public health concern, nurse burnout was further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this online session, learn to identify burnout, understand common risk factors, and follow the latest evidence of how to address burnout in ourselves and others.

Soup Skills

CORYDON, Ind. — Children in grades K-2 are invited to hear a story about sharing and cooperation and learn cooking skills at the 4-H Mini Stone Soup Workshop, 5:30 p.m. ET Nov. 16 at the Harrison County Extension office, 247 Atwood St., Corydon.

Each child will bring an ingredient and an adult helper and collaborate to prep and cook, collectively contributing to the pot of soup that they will eat and share. Each child will receive a gift to take home, along with a recipe and a gratitude card.

Fisheries Workshop
