FAIR OAKS, Ind. — From pumpkin and apple picking to chats with Santa, fall and winter is a great time to visit Fair Oaks Farms.
In addition to the crop, dairy and pig adventures that are offered year-round, special activities will make Fair Oaks more magical.
Here’s a sneak peak of seasonal attractions.
1. Visit the Halloween Trail on Oct. 30. Dress up in your favorite costume and go trick or treating at Fair Oaks. The trail is for young children and is family friendly. If you go to each spot on the Halloween Trail, you’ll receive a free dessert at the Farmhouse Restaurant.
2. Pick apples in the orchard. Fair Oaks has 40 acres of apple trees with 10 varieties, including Honeycrisp and Jonagold.
3. Indulge in snacks, soda, beer, wine or signature drinks at the Orchard Family Pub. Games are on site to enjoy.
4. Shop at the Harvest Market. Find goods and gifts including popcorn, jams, jellies and honey.
5. Try a fresh-baked apple doughnut at the Harvest Market. Sweet apple dough covered in cinnamon sugar will hit the spot. Try one of the three varieties of apple cider while you’re there.
6. Pick pumpkins at the two-acre pumpkin patch.
