Indiana Brewers’ Cup toasts 25 years

Indiana Homebrewer of the Year winner Metts Potter holds a trophy earned for his award-winning brews.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Brewers’ Cup Competition celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Indiana State Fairgrounds this July.

This year’s event hosted more than 1,500 entries from home brewers and commercial breweries from around the United States.

Sun King Brewery took home 2024 Indiana Brewery of the Year and 2024 Grand Champion Brewery of the Year.

Other winners were:

• Best of Show Mead/Cider Home Brew: Eldritchberry Terrors by Bill Boyer

• Best of Show Beer Home Brew: 2024 Brett Saison by Jeremy Dunn

• Bill Friday Award: Tippecanoe Homebrewers Circle

• Indiana Homebrew Club of the Year: Foam Blowers of Indiana

• Indiana Mead/Cidermaker of the Year: Kyle Ducharme

• Indiana Homebrewer of the Year: Metts Potter

• Indiana Amateur Grand Champion of the Year: Metts Potter

• Best of Show Mead/Cider Pro: Muffin Top by Urban Vines Winery & Brewery

• Best of Show Beer Pro: Free Range Farmhouse by Sun King — Fishers

• Indiana Meadery/Cidery of the Year: McClure’s Orchard/Winery
