COVINGTON, La. — AgriSafe shared its 2024 Annual Report, showcasing its impact on the agricultural community.
From expanding mental health resources to enhancing forestry safety training, the report highlights the depth and reach of the organization’s work.
“Farmers, ranchers and farmworkers work hard every day to provide food, fuel and fiber for our country and the world,” said Natalie Roy, CEO of AgriSafe.
“It’s important that we take care of them by providing strong public and occupational health training that helps them stay safe, healthy and thrive in agricultural work — across all generations.”
In 2024, AgriSafe expanded its team when it hired Jessi Grote as the professional development coordinator and Vanessa Martinez Escobar as a health communications specialist.
AgriSafe partnered with organizations across the country to enhance their continuing education programs, serving everyone from nurses to veterinarians.
“It’s our job at AgriSafe to do what we can to make sure (farmers and ranchers) are well in their body and mind,” Roy said.
“If you look at the work at AgriSafe, you see that balance. Anything from reducing heat stress to making sure that farmers are able to access mental health professionals who know the agriculture industry.”
