Indiana bridges to get upgrades

INDIANAPOLIS — Thirty-two bridges in rural Indiana will be getting repairs and upgrades, thanks to funding from the federal government.

In March, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced that $155.6 million in federal transportation funds was awarded to the state.

Of that total award, some $90.3 million will be used to repair and upgrade 32 bridges throughout the state. Those bridges currently are rated in poor condition.
