I’m hauling the last bin of corn here at our Grundy County farm to ADM in Morris on the river. I started this morning and hopefully we’ll get about five loads delivered.
The corn is coming out with the same moisture that we put it in, around 14%. It was really dry last fall, and everything is coming out really nice.
We’ve been getting spotty rains. Some fields are getting them and some aren’t, but so far we’ve been pretty lucky that everything has had a little bit of rain here and there. We had a big rain on June 24. We weren’t expecting that much rain.
