From the Fields: Summer rain has been ‘absolutely gorgeous’

The rainfall has been absolutely gorgeous. We haven’t seen rains like this in the summertime for five or six years.

We’ve received 5 to 6 inches of rain starting about July 4, and they have been regular, weekly rains. The crop is taking up the water fast.
