Indiana’s agriculture organizations teamed up to bring the farm to Indianapolis on National Agriculture Day.

In 2023, Indiana poultry farmers and businesses donated 200,000 pounds of duck, turkey and chicken and 172,000 dozen eggs to Hoosiers in need. Indiana farmers and businesses also donated $340,000 to organizations fighting food insecurity this year.

Several Indiana congressmen penned a letter highlighting the state’s priorities for the 2023 farm bill.

Farm advocates mingled with lawmakers at the annual Bacon Bar and Brunch Legislative Breakfast at the Indiana Statehouse.

Poultry producers donated nearly 100 tons, or 200,000 pounds, of poultry products to Hoosiers in need this year. Some of the products donated include eggs, chicken, duck and turkey.
